Hello Friends and Visitors,
This is the final warm up post for the omkarmusic.com newsletter.
Some technical issues on the newsletter system had to be fixed
in order to get things going nice and proper.
In addition to this opening you`ll find two latest articles
published on the homepage
to prove the technical issues are fixed.
If everything shows up to be going well
you`ll always be the first readers of articles,
because the newsletter system allows me to embed
writings and send them straight forward to subscribers
as soon as they are going to be published.
This writings are also meant to be a complement
to my articles on sites like myspace, yahoo etc.
You will receive entries like on homepage FAQ section
which are not that much relevant on blog sites.
Because of the good feedback and subscriptions
I have added older friends and latest contacts
to the subscription list,
so feel free to drop me a line if I should take you out of this list.
Most important I`d like to mention
on this newsletter is the issue of confirmation:
Please remind yourself to check your mailbox again
after subscription and to confirm it.
This is a delicate legal issue in Germany,
because if someone else has provided me with your mail adress
and not really you,
I can get into trouble sending unwanted spam to unconfirmed adresses.
Albeit this fact,
the warm up will also be received by unconfirmed mail adresses
to remind you on confirmation.
Further newsletters are only received by confirmed subscribers.
Older friends and latest contacts I added,
I expect to be confirmed subscribers when not mentioned otherwise.
What will be the next topics ?
Aside the work on next album
and information on working progress,
I have few things on my list:
Introducing friends like painters and musicians
with free music production or co-production
and short notes of interesting sites and projects I came across.
For now you will find following embedded latest two articles
and please drop me a note if something appears not to be shown correctly.
I wish you all a good time,
love
Omkar

Man Omkar at Work on new music release
This is the commensurable depiction of current status.
After the last music release `Divine Painting` for free download I was prepared to work on next independent commercial album, when I had a mail from a label residing in USA asking me to release an album with them and I agreed.
The situation to have upcoming release of two albums is pretty much a challenge and I hope to be able to have the energy for it.
Aside completing the material for independent release I started now with compositions for the label project and after talking with label owner I have chosen to play and vary with the theme `calmness`.
So the album having the theme calmness will be there for the tranquil and quiet moments we have in life.
The independent album will go in the direction of Word Music and will become as colorful as the word is.

| Free Song Production `Mitram` with friend Divakar available |

A new and free song production `Mitram` with friend and singer Divakar is available
A prelisten of the produced song can be done in full length at omkarmusic.com right on the associated article via embedded MP3 flash player.
{audio}mp3/omkar_divakar_mitram.mp3{/audio} The song can be downloaded for free at Divakar`s myspace site .
Divakar has become a friend at myspace and at the moment he resides in Switzerland.
I listened to his music and was deeply touched by his honest and true devotional singing voice, without generating it by technical skills and modulation.
At his myspace site was a song on the MP3 player called `Mitram` just with voice and guitar at a crappy status with a lot of noise and rumble on it.
I mailed him and suggested to produce the song in a better quality and with addons of instruments and arrangement. He agreed and so he sent me the accidental recorded vocal parts.
With a little technical voodoo the voice could have been cleaned up to maybe 55%. So the spectrum of his voice is fairly narrowed on this current production, but I think one can get an idea of the beauty and warmth and I hope we soon can replace the vocals with cleaner version.
So ... this is my version and Divakar invites other musicians to participate and contribute. Please contact Divakar at myspace and not me, because I`m involved in other music projects as well and I`m working on my next album. |
