The free downloadable songs at various mp3 portals are now licensed under the terms of creative commons.

The very point I have done this is because of radio stations asking for permissions to play on air.
Now, the license allows every non commercial use of the free songmaterial.
This goes to private users or using as well as to non commercial radiostations or non commercial use on air.

To users it clearifys what is allowed and what not.

There are no restrictions for example in what way the song is played,
it can be at home, in the car or wherever. No restriction as it is with some other models.

For radiostations there is no need to ask for permission,

because the license allows it per se as long as it is not used in a commercial way.
