This is really an issue for independent releases
and I like to explicate few things.

First to understand is

there is no label, no promotion agency, no MTV ...

That basically means there are no fixed marketing levels.
Shops and stores dealing with independent artists
come and go like the sun and moon on a daily basis.

When I send a release to some of my major distributors
like cdbaby in usa,
it is not assured on how many shops and stores they can send it.
Some shops are closing, others are opening.

As a rule of thumb you can visit shops like Apple iTunes and Napster
for digital downloads
and CDbaby or Amazon for retail CDs.

At the Internet Shop site of omkarmusic.com

I currently try to give an overview of topic major distributors
due to the associated releases
and to keep visitors updated of fundamental changes.

Another point to understand is,
each and every step of production is funded by myself.

So I have to decide in what way it makes sense to deliver releases.

Some are good to go with physical units (CDs) and digtal release,
others are good to go for downloads only.

Thats also a reason for not having a fixed market place handy.

Update:

There is now a direct shop corner of omkarmusic.com available
and to be found here .
