Divakar has become a friend at myspace and at the moment he resides in Switzerland.
I listened to his music and was deeply touched by his honest and true devotional singing voice, without generating it by technical skills and modulation.
At his myspace site was a song on the MP3 player called `Mitram` just with voice and guitar at a crappy status with a lot of noise and rumble on it.
I mailed him and suggested to produce the song in a better quality and with addons of instruments and arrangement. He agreed and so he sent me the accidental recorded vocal parts.
With a little technical voodoo the voice could have been cleaned up to maybe 55%. So the spectrum of his voice is fairly narrowed on this current production, but I think one can get an idea of the beauty and warmth and I hope we soon can replace the vocals with cleaner version.
So ... this is my version and Divakar invites other musicians to participate and contribute. Please contact Divakar at myspace and not me, because I`m involved in other music projects as well and I`m working on my next album.
`Mitram` is a gentle and lovely song
and deals with friendship. It is the Hindi word for `Friend`.
While working on it I had no idea of the content, what Divakar is singing about and he explained me after the song was done.
Thus endowed me the potentiality to feel the song and to construe on rythm, instruments and harmonies.
We hope you all enjoy and if you like the song let it know Divakar and mail him on myspace.
